1. Arrive Early

Plan to arrive at the airport well in advance of your flight to allow for check-in, security screening, and any unexpected delays. This will help reduce stress and ensure you have enough time to board your flight.

2. Pack essentials in your hand luggage

Keep important items in your hand luggage so you'll have them with you throughout the journey.

Please refer to your Arrivals Checklist document located on your profile for more information on the documents that need to be printed. If applicable, download and print anything else Camp Canada has advised (e.g. Health Insurance docs etc)

3. Follow Baggage Allowance Rules

Familiarize yourself with the baggage restrictions and weight limits imposed by your airline. Ensure your checked baggage adheres to the guidelines to avoid any additional fees or complications.

4. Dress comfortably

Wear loose, breathable clothing and choose comfortable shoes. Layers are also helpful since the cabin temperature can vary.

5. Stay hydrated

Drink plenty of water before and during the flight to stay hydrated. The air inside the plane can be dry, so it's important to keep yourself hydrated to avoid discomfort.

6. Move around and stretch

During your flight, try to get up and move around the cabin periodically to promote blood circulation. Stretching exercises while seated can also help alleviate muscle stiffness.

7. Ear pressure

To avoid any ear discomfort during takeoff and landing, try swallowing, chewing gum, yawning, eating boiled sweets or using earplugs.

8. Entertainment and comfort

Bring items to keep yourself entertained during the flight, such as books, magazines, headphones or electronic devices. In advance, download some movies and check out our Spotify playlist's for music and podcast recommendations to keep you entertained. 9. Stay Informed

Keep an eye on flight updates and notifications provided by the airline. Download their app or sign up for email/text alerts to stay updated on any changes or delays.

10. Adjust to the local time

When traveling to a different time zone, try adjusting your sleep and meal schedule during the flight to align with your destination's local time. This can help reduce jet lag upon arrival.
